i know it’s kind of late. i should’ve done this last week but anyway, i’ve selected some photos that i took last 2011. my favorites..

January

happy 2011 :) i shot this from inside my bedroom, no tripod. i love the thrill of shooting fireworks. you never know what the final photo would look like.

February

this was my plate for our subject, Visualization (VISUALI). we were asked to shoot glasses of any kind. i didn’t know anything about studio lights, flashes, or lighting in general when i did this. so i kind of experimented on how to light this thing. haha.

March

another VISUALI plate. we were to shoot eggs this time. it was a challenge to do this, but i had fun. mom was my assistant haha.

April

April is special because it’s my birth month. and i got lucky because i was able to witness a beautiful summer sunset. this was taken at our province in Leyte, beside the town’s church.

May

got my very first film SLR as a post-birthday gift for myself and had my very first film SLR photograph.

June

it was my first time to shoot in a studio last June 2011. i swear to God i really had no idea of what i was doing. i was afraid of studio lights and flashes. it was such an experience :))

July

mom, dad, and i went to the Manila Ocean Park for the first time. and i was fascinated by the jellies beautifully dancing in Canon D. i loved it so much!

August

my first semi-nude shoot (i had a lot of Firsts last year. haha.) one of my favorite shoots, this was my final plate for our Fashion Photography class.

September

the highlight of the month: All Time Low live in Manila! :D it was soooooooooo awesome! ‘nuff said :))

feels like Google Earth :P Leyte-bound to do some landscape shoot for our group exhibit.

well uhm unfortunately, i wasn’t able to shoot last december because i was too busy and stressed with finals :( *sigh*

i tried to scan my color transparency on our flatbed scanner, tweaked the colors on photoshop, and this was the result. i know there’s a proper process of scanning color transparencies, but i was too curious and bored so i did it my own way.. :P

i did this for our large-format-turned-medium-format-b/w class. this was supposed to be two different photos but i forgot to wind the film that’s why the double exposure effect. i was surprised when i saw the scans, but i like it. it’s my first double exposure photo, in film.

my very 1st attempt to shoot star trails. this was done in front of my lola’s house in leyte. fail i know :)) crappy composition, failed to locate the north star (i was kinda facing east.. or west :/ i dunno, should’ve brought a compass with me haha), too much human movement, too much light pollution, not sharp.. but i kinda get the idea on how to shoot it, a little :)) it was fun though. i was able to stargaze and i saw two shooting stars for the very first time that night.. :D
